Spring is definitely in the air which means its time to get out, clean up the garden, clean out the house, and enjoy the good weather! The RVNA will have dumpsters availalble in two locations March 24th – the 27th for you to get rid items you’ve been holding on for too long. No construction materials, equipment, or batteries.

Spring Cleanup: Dumpsters will be dropped off at 14th & Frisco and 16th & Carson on Friday, March 24th and will be removed on Monday, March 27th. Looking for volunteers to work at CBH Plaza both on that day and for general monthly care April-October. Contact Murray Verbonitz for more information or to volunteer.

PROMOTION
CCOT Project: Approved by Tulsa Parks BOD’s, will work with city on funds for needed repairs needed (Phase One); officially kicking off fundraising for promotion and education of CCOT (Phase Two) with a Pint Night fundraiser at Neff Brewing on 4/13; have begun a collaboration with the InterTribal Council to discuss improvements to CCOT and Stickball (Phase Three) to be included in masterplan of Dreamkeepers Park.

PROTECTION
Neighborhood Character Overlay: Renaissance Neighborhood has been working on getting this done to protect against development that would not fit into historical surroundings. If you don’t like the NIO, this is a way to combat it. See David Olson for more information.
18th District: A group is trying to resurrect the old SOBO business district association and rebrand it as the 18th District. If you are interested in being involved in that association, see Jason Mathew.
18th St Improvements: a plan has been made to repave and improve 18th between Main and Cincinnati to include sidewalks and a revamped 18th & Boston intersection
Meeting to discuss highly trafficked alleys along Denver: 2/21 meeting at 1401 S Denver to discuss the possibility of closing the alleys to traffic. Casey Newport will be there as a RVNA rep. Affected homeowners are encouraged to attend.
